One month old!

Well Savannah Grace is one month old! I still cannot believe it, it seems like yesterday we brought her home. It is amazing how quickly time passes. Overall the first month of motherhood has been great, I have not been as sleep deprived as I thought I'd be, but the lack sleep takes some getting used to. She is such a good baby, were pretty lucky. I love that her little personality is coming out more and more each day. On her one month birthday she had a special treat from Grandma Kim (and Grandpa Mike if you look closely) - she was on the today show with a sign for Savannah's birthday!! It was so great!

Easter

We had a nice Easter spending time with our families. We went over to Grandma Kim and Grandpa Mike's for a Easter lunch, then we went over to Grandma-ma Ginny's and spent time with the family. We had a wonderful time with our families - although when you have a baby everything is more difficult, especially when your tired, but i am really glad we toughed it out. Next year will be even better, hopefully we can hunt for eggs. Well enjoy the pics of little one. (We have a million, I am a first time mom!)

I Love this baby!!!!

It is such an amazing thing, the love you have for something you are just getting to know. I have always loved kids and kids have always loved me so I went in to this motherhood thinking it would be similar - but I am amazed how much you love this little baby you barely know. I am so proud and happy that I can now say I am a mom. It is the most life changing event and I am so blessed it happened to me. After a pregnancy that threw more curve balls than I was expecting, I didn't think I would ever want to do it again, but seeing this little miracle, I would do it all over in a heartbeat. We love her so much!!

She is finally here!!!

Hello everyone!
Well the King family has good news, as many of you know Savannah Grace King arrived on February 27, 2008 at 6:59 pm. She weighed 5 lbs, 1oz, and was 17in long. She is a healthy, happy baby and Stephen and I could not be happier. She was worth every minute sitting on the couch and waiting in the doctor's office. She is our perfect little angel. We will be posting some pics for everyone to see!
(P.S. - Acasha's e-mail address has changed, it is now acashanking@creativepapercrafts.org)

It might be time...

Hey everyone!
Sorry I have not been keeping up on my postings. I have been busy getting things ready and working on my scrapbooks and cards. Well, I think that we will be meeting Savannah Grace a little earlier than we thought. We have been watching her throughout the pregnancy for being small, however, recently she has been dropping in her percentile (weight) and not getting bigger... so we have made the decision to induce if her lungs are ready. We will go on Tuesday February 26, 2008 for the amino test and if she is ready we will have a baby girl next week. We are very excited and nervous, and we just pray that everything is OK with the baby and that she is healthy. We will let you know soon!

We have a name!!

Well we finally decided on a name, and most of you already know what it is...
Savannah Grace King!!
We are excited to have finally made that decision and unless she comes out and is not a "Savannah," we are planning on sticking to that decision. Everything else is going pretty well, I am still taking it easy and staying at home, everyday is getting easier. At the last check up Savannah weighed approx. 3lbs 6oz, so she is a little small, I call her a peanut, (At this stage she should weigh 4lbs 7oz to 5lbs) but she is our peanut. We are hoping for at least 5lbs (if not more) at birth, I'm sure we will get there. Hopefully she stays inside as long as possible, hence the taking it easy on my part. Her Nursery is now all put together, and Daddy did a wonderful job on her closet, she is the most organized unborn baby ever! I guess that has a lot to do with her obsessive parents, I'm sure we will ease up on that after she is born! Well that's all for now!

Baby Shower Time!!

Hello to all!

I just wanted to take a minute and say THANK YOU, to everyone who attended the baby shower! It really means a lot to us to have so much support and love. We are very lucky to have such a wonderful group of people in our lives. We are counting down the day until our baby girl arrives (due date, March 16, 2008). We still have not made a final decision on her name, but we will let you know when we do. I am still on "modified bed rest" for a few more weeks and then hopefully I can gradually start adding back more activity. In the meantime I am working on my scrapbooks and a few other projects to keep me busy, as well as continuing to get my web site and business up and running. I am really excited about this new business and I hope it will all work out. Well that's all for now, hope everyone is doing well!

Here are some pictures of the baby's room - "Safari Chic" I hope she will like it.
